Terms of Service

By creating an account or using My Instructional Materials, you agree to these terms.
1. What the service is
My Instructional Materials generates and stores teaching resources — lesson notes, worksheets, quizzes, slideshows, and similar materials — for teachers and schools, using AI. It is a teaching aid: a teacher should review generated content for accuracy before using it with students, the same as any other resource they didn't write themselves.
2. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. Teachers and school administrators are responsible for the student accounts they create or invite — including obtaining any consent required by their own school's policies.
3. Plans, trials, and billing
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with a limited number of generations. Paid plans (Individual, Full Access, and School) are billed as described on the Pricing page at the time of purchase, through Paystack or Flutterwave. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled first. Prices and plan limits may change; we'll give notice of any change that affects an active subscription.
4. Fair use
Generation limits exist per plan so the service stays fast and affordable for everyone. Sharing a single paid account across an entire school instead of using the School plan isn't permitted; accounts that repeatedly exceed fair use for their plan may be rate-limited or asked to upgrade.
5. Content you create
You own the teaching resources you generate and may use them freely in your teaching. We may use anonymised, aggregate usage data (like which resource types are most popular) to improve the product — never the specific content of what you've generated, and never student data, for marketing purposes.
6. AI-generated content
Resources are produced by third-party AI models and, like any AI output, can occasionally contain errors. My Instructional Materials is a tool to speed up preparing teaching materials, not a substitute for a teacher's own judgement and review.
7. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. Contact hello@myinstructionalmaterials.com for a refund request, and we'll handle it case by case.
8. Ending an account
We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms, misuses the service, or is used unlawfully. You can close your own account at any time by contacting us.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify registered users of significant changes by email.
